I love the book "Small and Simple Things" by Marjorie Hinckley. I read from it every night. One quote has struck me so much that I read it to myself almost nightly. I thought I would share it.
"The test, then, of our soul's greatness is rather to be sought in our ability to comfort and console, our ability to help others, rather than our ability to help ourselves and crowd others down in the struggle of life."
--Joseph F. Smith
I guess I like this quote so much because I've been the recipient of so much help and comfort from others, that I'm finally getting to the point where I can help others again. For a long time I've only been able to help myself and my kids, so I'm excited because I feel like I'm making a little progress.

This rings so true to me too. I have felt similar to you for so long that I have taken so much. I have found ways I can give back and it's amazing how good it feels to give back service when you've been the recipient for so long. It does show strength and healing when you are able to look outside yourself. love ya Kira. Hope you are finding joy in your life.
Kira,
I found your blog through Andrea's. Your kids are adorable. It is funny how you feel that you won’t make it to a certain point and then when it comes, there is the strange excitement that the time did pass and you made it here (hope that makes sense). Hope all is well. I think of you all the time.
Jackie
I can see that change! You are great and I am glad we are friends. That is a inspired quote.
