Emmet's First Soccer Game

Yesterday Emmet had his first soccer game!! We had a lot of fun sitting outside in 100 degree weather. Fortunatley we had a little shade to keep cool. Emery didn't care much about the game, she enjoyed drinking the gatorade and spilling it all over her shirt. Emmet on the other hand loved the whole "team" sport experience. He scored his first goal and to much to my surprise Emmet gave fives and thumbs up to his team mates when they scored goals. Emmet amazes me often. Who knew you could get teary eyed watching a soccer game. I just felt bad that Sam wasn't there to enjoy in the fun. He would have loved watching Emmet score a goal. Part of me hopes he did!

My Baby Is Two!

Emery turned two last week. It was quite bitter sweet. I'm excited for her to grow-up. Hopefully that means she'll sleep through the night more and I'm that much closer to being done with diapers. On the other hand I no longer have a baby, I have a toddler!!! She's cute, but I'll miss not having a baby. She loved her birthday. Who knew I would have a little girl who is so girly. She loves loves shoes. She got so many dress up shoes for her birthday and she plays with them non-stop. She came into the world loving shoes!

California Fun

This August we took a short trip to Carsbad, California with my family. We had a great time at the beach. Sam would have been so proud of Emmet, he tried surfing. Thanks to his uncles Chris and Chance who gave Emmet some pointers. I also surfed a little (the small waves) and got up! Pre-law school, Sam and I went to the beach dozens of times in the summer. It was nice to be there, Sam would have been proud of his beach bum babies!!

Since moving Emmet has now begun Karate. He's already moved up a belt. Thanks to Karate I have fewer bruises on my legs from Emmet. He loves Power Rangers. We watch the show daily, thanks to Tivo. Fortunately, Karate is teaching him some great Power Ranger moves!!
