Miracles Do Happen!

So, Emmet escaped his 12 x 12 cell this morning. The sweet miracle I had been praying for all day yesterday happened!! This morning the nurse had Emmet not eat or drink anything after 9am and she was getting him prepped for his surgery. I kept thinking his neck looked significantly better, but I'm no doctor. A little later the ENT doctor walked in looked at Emmet and gave me a great big smile. He couldn't believe how much the lump had changed and sent us home. I have strict instructions and will have to call him daily for the next 10 days on the progress of the lump. Emmet is taking oral antibiotics and hopefully he'll start getting more movement of his neck. I can't believe how wonderful everyone had been. It was a long seven days. I honestly thought after Sam's death I wouldn't have to have a kid in the hospital. Thankfully I had lots of support and Emmet was a trooper. I'm proud of him. If you ever need someone to take you to the ER and sit with you for days on end in the hospital I'm your woman!! I was counting up how many days I have been in a hospital in my life and it's somewhere close to 75 days!!

HALLELUJAH!!! Kira, we have all been praying for your family and cute Emmet at our house. That's the best news! I'm so relieved for you. I can't imagine how scared you must have been last week. Our whole ward sent up a lot of prayers for you, because word spread fast about someone we all love so much! You deserve a nice long break from hospitals, ok? Love you!!!
