It's been ten months since Sam's passing and I was looking at pictures. I was reminiscing about my favorite vacation we took together. We spent a week (before Emmet) in Cabo San Lucas, just lounging around on the beach. Sam made me jump on a bus, take a ride to an obscure beach for surfing and we took a walk off of the beaten path and stumbled upon our favourite restaurant, The Sleepless Lobster. (That's where the picture was taken) I think we ate there three times in one week. I also spent that week reading, Gone With The Wind, which I ended up throwing the book across the hotel room because I hated the ending. It needed to end happier. Anyway, I loved that week Sam and I spent together in Mexico.

Kira, it's Shelley! It's so good to see you and your kids. I can't believe how big they are getting. Your posts keep making me cry. You are in our prayers, and I STILL need to get those letters to you!
How sweet! I definitely need to hear more about your travels you and Sam went before kids. It will give me more ideas of places my husband and I can go before we start having kids.
Thanks for sharing. I think of you often and miss you a lot. I've been to MD a lot this month and it's just not the same. I don't miss MD/Baltimore at all but I miss all the people a lot.
Kira, thanks for letting us share your memories with Sam.
Mike and I think about you all the time. We always wonder how you are doing. Just like one of your other friend said, your posts keep making me cry. But I love beeing able to follow what your trio is doing. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for that Kira! That is cute, you two talk about the trip alot, so it must have been a great one!

Love going out to you from Utah. I still think of you daily-and pray in my heart for your heart and your kids. Love ya kira-hope you are hanging in there. I love to hear about memories with Sam. I didn't know him well, but he seems like a wonderful wonderful man.

You two look the same in that pic, I would have never known it was pre-Emmet unless you said. What a fun way to spend time. Thanks for sharing the memory, which reminds me, I still need to send you ours. Oh, and don't feel bad about Gone with the Wind. I did the same with Jane Eyer. Everyone hyped it up and I just didn't appreciate it, I guess :)
Hey Kira. I found your blog through Lauren's and had to take a peek. I'm sorry about Sam--you are stronger than I could ever be. Your kids are cute and you look the same as I remember you from all those years ago!
chelsey grace
You are an amazing woman! I only hope that I would have the strength and courage that you have had. Thanks for your example.
