How amazing is it that Emmet is four. I can't believe how quickly four years have gone by. It was such a bittersweet day. On one hand it was a day to remember Emmet's birth and all of the excitement surrounding it. Especially because he's my first, there is always a little added excitement. On the other hand it was a very hard day. I cried more than I expected. It's hard to imagine Sam was here four years ago sharing in the same excitement I felt on that day. Sam was the first one to hold Emmet. I'm glad he had that moment. What was even harder was that Sam's last visit to AZ was Emmet's third birthday. He was feeling sick then and was able to get out of bed to attend the party, but slept the rest of the weekend. Fortunately, Emmet had a great birthday. We celebrated it by first attending his soccer game where he scored a goal!! Then he had his party at his Karate studio. Emmet loved it, I learned that birthday parties are not fun for the parent throwing it. I was exhausted by the end!

So sorry Kira. I imagine that most of those milestones and extra special days are bittersweet.
I'm sure Emmet was in heaven with his karate birthday party and Emery's hair is adorable :) She's welcome to come be my little helper....Marley's helping usually involves pulling my freshly folded laundry and throwing it around the room as fast as I can fold. She wants to be doing whatever I'm doing, but usually it is counter-productive.

Hi Kira. . just dropping in to say hi and that I love ya and think of you all the time. You have inspired me to name my girl Kira-only spelled differently. . not positive yet, we will see when she comes out which name will best suit her. . but kira is my front runner. You are a continued strength to me as I see your strength.

Unbelievable how fast they grow. The party looked fun. I wish we were closer so Matthew could of join in.
