I am on the hunt to buy a treadmill, but I'm struggling to know which one to buy. I've been doing my research, but there are so many to choose from. So, I was wondering if any of you could recommend the treadmill you have!!
we have an elliptical (too lazy to figure out how to spell that) and i like it so much more than a treadmill! we had a treadmill in MD and i used it only a handful of times. i just hate running.
Hey Kira. I bought a used treadmill from Craigslist. All I was looking for was a large belt so I wouldn't trip! We only payed $200 I think.I love craigslist, we've bought so much off that website and also sold alot very quickly! I am very happy with the treadmill, it's a pro-form. it shows time, distance, calories burnt, plus it raises up and has the cross walk sticks But seriously I didn't care for all the extras. It's set up in the playroom so I can run while the kids play. it makes it easier.
Got one in the back of my closet if you want it. Not fancy, but totally free...and Jason will even deliver it :) BTW, I'm currently using a fantastic eliptical machine from costco as additional hanging space for clothing. It holds a lot of non-dirty but already worn clothing. Fantastic investment :) You are welcome to come give it a spin. It is actually nice. I used to love it and then got shingles. Now I am afraid of it and its been a year.
Hey Kira - If you are at all interested in an elliptical trainer your very-cool-named friends have recommended, I have one you can have. I have loved every minute of it, but haven't used it once since we joined the gym in February and I'm ready to have the extra space back in my room :).
Let me know if you want to come by to look at it/use it.
I second the eliptical...I don't have one, and I'm not gonna buy one, but when I make it to the gym (which is not as often as I should) I use the elipticals. I like it SO much more. I absolutely HATE running...but if you like running good luck finding a treadmill :) (I know I was no help at all, but I just wanted you to know I am an eliptical fan!)
We are doing the treadmill/elipitical debate at our house too. I saw Sears will be having a few treadmills on sale the day after Thanksgiving. One is a Nortic Track that had great reviews from what I saw and the price was great. Free from a friend can't be beat though.

I'm with Katie, love the eliptical. And its much better on the knees. Sorry - that probably isn't very helpful.
