June 24th would have been my 10th Anniversary. I worked hard to make sure it would be a great day, but it turned out it was the opposite!! I simple had a bad day. Which was the opposite of my actual wedding. I absolutely loved every minute of my wedding day. I have always felt that way even before Sam's death. It was perfect, simple and elegant. I even loved standing in line for almost three hours at our reception.
I stumbled upon a quote this week that I simply love and after such a horrible emotional day I believe this quote is becoming my motto. It was written by an American author Thorton Wilder, "The highest tribute to the dead is not grief, but gratitude." I am grateful to have had the opportunity to marry a man who I loved and he loved me equally back and I am thankful to have two beautiful children to raise as his legacy!

I am sorry it was a bad day.
You are so amazing Kira, You truly are such an example. It's okay to have bad days, I know that we don't like to have them, they don't feel good, but they are natural. No wonder it was a hard day, it was a big monumental day. There's no doubt in my mind how much you love Sam and how much he loves you in return. You two are so so darling. Much love and many prayers.
THanks for sharing you memories with us. We love you and think of you often.
Sorry to hear about your bad day. I love that quote! Thanks for sharing. You are incredibly amazing.
I really like that kid's book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, or whatever it's called...
Sorry, it wasn't a great day, but I think your new motto quote is great, and absolutely fitting, and I am sure Sam feels the same about you. Love ya :)
Speaking of gratitude, we are so grateful to have Emery in our primary class. We absolutly adore her, and really missed her last week when we were gone. Thanks for always bringing her. She's great!
Love the quote Kira. Sorry it was a bad day. Can't wait to hear how your 4th was.
That is such a touching quote. It brought tears. You are a strong woman. I admire you.
