Another quote...

Since Emmet has been sick this last week, I finally decided not to procrastinate some important projects I have been needing to start.   I began by going through and reading all of the letters and cards people sent me after Sam's death.  I have really enjoyed reading them and compiling them into books for my kids.  I still found much comfort and strength from what family and friends wrote.  I am so thankful for the stories that were sent and if anyone hasn't written a story or thought about Sam, PLEASE do.  The more the better, especially for Emmet and Emery.  There was one quote a friend sent me that stuck out and I thought I would share it.
"Surely those who have passed beyond, can see more clearly through the veil back here to us than it is possible for us to see to them from our sphere of action.  I believe we move and have our being in the presence of heavenly messengers and of heavenly beings.  We are not separated from them.  We are closely related to our kindred, to our ancestors, to our friends and associates and co-laborers who have preceded us into the spirit world.  They can see us better than we can see them--that they know us better than we know them.  I claim that we live in their presence, they see us, they are solicitous for our welfare, they love us now more than ever.  For now they see the dangers that beset us; they can comprehend better than ever before, the weaknesses that are liable to mislead us into dark and forbidden paths.  They see the temptations and the evils that beset us in life, and the proneness of mortal beings to yield to temptation and to wrong doing; hence their solicitude for us and their love for us and their desire for our well being must be greater than that which we feel for ourselves.  --Joseph F. Smith

I love that. Joseph F Smith has said some very important and interesting things concerning the eternal nature of man. He is definitely one of my favorite prophets.

Hey Sweetie,

Sorry we weren't able to meet up when you were here in Vegas. Hopefully next time. I just wanted to say how awesome I think you are. It has to be a huge step to do what you are doing. Good luck and I hope everyone is feeling better. =)
